📋 What we collect

Account information

Your email address and name, used only to sign you in (via a magic link) and identify your account.

Content you choose to act on

When you open a comment box and request suggestions, the text of that LinkedIn post (and, for replies, the comment you're replying to) is sent to our backend to generate suggestions. We do not crawl, store, or collect posts you don't explicitly act on.

Preferences and local stats

Your selected tone, writing style, goals, and engagement stats (e.g. streak, comment count) are stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.

Comment results

To show you how your comments are performing, the Extension reads the public reaction and reply counts on your own comments as you browse LinkedIn. These numbers are stored only on your device and are never sent to us.

Anonymous usage analytics

We record anonymous product events (for example: signed in, generated a suggestion, pasted a suggestion) to understand how the Extension is used and to fix problems. These events contain no post text, no comment text, and no personal information. Only the event name, a random anonymous identifier, and basic properties such as the chosen tone and the extension version are included.

⚙️ How we use it

• To provide the core feature (generating comment suggestions).
• To authenticate you and keep you signed in.
• To improve the product and detect failures.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising, creditworthiness, or any purpose unrelated to running the Extension.

🤝 Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us operate the Extension:

• Supabase: authentication and account management.
• OpenAI: generates the comment suggestions from the post text you submit.
• PostHog (US): anonymous product analytics.

🗃️ Data retention

• Account data is kept while your account is active.
• Post text submitted for generation is processed to produce suggestions and is not retained for any other purpose.
• Local data stays in your browser until you log out or remove the Extension.

🔓 Your choices

• You can log out at any time from the Extension popup, which clears your local session.
• You can remove the Extension to delete locally stored data.
